Josef Fares decides to stick with EA.

A Way Out developer Hazelight Studios’ director confirms that their next title will be published by EA. Studio head Josef Fares shared new information on their business with EA in an interview with Eurogamer. Even though the company has a bad image because of lootboxes, they don’t seem to intervene with indie developers’ games.

Hazelight Studios’ director states that their new title is in an early stage, but he surely wants to make some things clear. “Yeah, we’re with EA.” Fares said, in an interview with Eurogamer. Josef Fares stated that it is not a problem to work with EA and that the company is super supportive. He went on with saying “I don’t care what publisher I work with it’s going to be the same. This is how I work: I respect the economical aspect but nobody fucks with the vision – it’s very, very important..”

Josef Fares did not give any details on studio’s new title, but he gave us a release window. “It’s hard to say but maybe in two or three years we show something,” Hazelight head said. The studio’s new game is in pre-production stage and they’ve been working on it since 3-4 months. New information will surely come out when devs achieve a new stage in development.
